Healthy Resolutions for Your New Year

2013 can be the year you achieve your weight loss goals!

It’s almost time for a fresh start! As 2013 approaches, are you making plans to reshape your body and health habits? If you’re trying to narrow down the best resolutions to make, consider some of our suggestions.

  • Give up fast food. It’s cheaper and healthier to pack your lunch for work, and it doesn’t have to take a lot of time. Last night’s leftovers are always ready to go, and a whole-wheat sandwich takes only minutes to prepare.
  • Drink a smoothie every day. An easy way to get a couple servings of fruit each day is to make daily smoothies a habit. Bonus points if you toss in some spinach leaves or kale!
  • Start your morning with an exercise session. Before your day becomes too crazy, get this commitment out of the way. A morning fitness routine will also help keep you energized for the rest of the day.
  • Stop smoking. If you’re trying to lose weight you should know that many of smoking’s risks are increased by extra pounds. Now you have even more reasons to quit!
  • Make early nights a habit. Sleep deprivation will only hinder you in your weight loss journey. It will increase your appetite, give you less energy when you exercise, and slow your metabolism.

At the Garcia Weight Loss and Wellness Centers, we can help you meet all your health goals this year! Stop by our website or schedule a no cost consultation to learn more about your options.
